Lighting automation without rewiring
SAL PIXIE is a range of digital lighting switches and dimmers built on Bluetooth mesh technology. The products are designed for straightforward installation by an electrician and simple operation by the person living with them.
It is one of the more affordable routes into lighting automation, it works with existing wiring, and it scales — one app can control a group of up to 32 PIXIE devices at once.

Installed and paired, not left in the box
PIXIE needs the hardware in correctly and the software configured before it does anything useful. Every device has to be paired to the system, and the groups, scenes and schedules built.
We handle both halves, including the light and switch upgrades that go with it, so the system is working when we leave.
Bluetooth mesh, so devices extend each other's range rather than fighting for Wi-Fi.

SAL PIXIE FAQs
What is a PIXIE switch?
A smart light switch that replaces a traditional one and is the basic building block of the system. It connects to your network through the PIXIE Gateway, can be controlled by app or voice, works with both standard and LED lights, and still operates manually.
What is the PIXIE Gateway?
The hub that bridges your home Wi-Fi and your PIXIE devices. It translates between the network and the devices, supports multiple devices from one unit, and needs to be plugged into power and connected to your network. Internet-enabled features require it.
What is the difference between a router and a gateway?
Your router manages your home network and distributes the internet connection to devices. A gateway bridges and translates between different networks or protocols. In a PIXIE system the router handles your internet and the PIXIE Gateway handles communication between the devices and the network.
What is the difference between the PIXIE and PIXIE Plus apps?
The standard PIXIE app covers on/off control, timers, group control, scene creation and device management. PIXIE Plus adds more sophisticated automation, advanced scheduling, detailed energy monitoring, extended scenes and further customisation.
Does SAL PIXIE work with Google Home?
Yes, and with Amazon Echo, Apple Siri, Samsung SmartThings, Apple Watch, IFTTT and Sonos. It also integrates with Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning, DaHua IP intercoms and Hunter Pacific DC ceiling fans.
