Christmas light competition Terms & conditions 2024

1. Eligibility

• The competition is open to all residential properties within the Blue Mountains LGA & Penrith LGA Participants must be the legal
occupant or have permission from the property owner
• Employees of FIX Electrical and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate

2. Entry Requirements

• Entries must be submitted between 1/11/2024 and 29/11/2024
• All Christmas light displays must be visible from the street
• Participants must submit:
o Clear photographs of their decorated property
o Complete street address
o Contact information (name, phone, email)
• All decorations must be safely installed and meet local electrical safety standards
• Properties must remain decorated throughout the voting period

3. Voting Process

• Public voting will take place from 2/12/24 – 17/12/24
• Voting will be conducted through a form on FIX electrical website
• One vote per email address
• Any attempts to manipulate voting will result in disqualification
• The Address with the most valid votes through our website wins

4. Prize

• The first-place prize will be a donation of $1000 from Fix electrical to a charity of their choice
• Charity must be Registered Charity in Australia https://www.acnc.gov.au/charity/charities

5. Terms of Entry

By entering the competition, participants:
• Grant FIX Electrical permission to photograph their property
• Allow use of submitted photos for promotional purposes
• Agree to have their address listed publicly as part of the competition
• Accept that decisions on winners are final
• Agree to be contacted by FIX electrical
• Acknowledge responsibility for their own electrical safety and installations

6. Liability

• FIX Electrical is not responsible for:
o Any accidents or injuries related to holiday decorations
o Damage to property or decorations
o Increased electricity costs
o Weather-related issues affecting displays

7. Privacy

• Personal information will only be used for competition purposes
• Contact details will not be shared with third parties
• Addresses of participating properties will be made public for voting purposes

8. Cancellation/Modification

FIX Electrical reserves the right to:
• Cancel or modify the competition if necessary
• Disqualify entries that violate these terms
• Adjust voting procedures to ensure fair competition
